Hot Honey Halloumi Bagels
Serves 2
Gluten Freedom’s Classic Sourdough Bagels topped with crunchy lettuce, golden haloumi strips, tomato, avocado and lashings of hot honey.
2 Gluten Freedom Sourdough Bagels, sliced in half
Small handful of rocket leaves
4 slices of halloumi cheese
4 slices of tomato
½ large avocado, sliced into strips
½ cup honey
Sea salt and freshly cracked black pepper
Cook the haloumi in a frying pan over a medium to high heat or on the BBQ until cooked to your
liking. Set aside on a paper towel to soak up any excess oil.
Place the Bagel halves into the toaster and toast to your liking.
Place the honey into a microwave safe container and warm in the microwave for increments of
10 seconds until it is bubbling and hot.
Layer your Bagel with a bottom layer of rocket, haloumi, tomato, avocado and finally finish off
with a drizzle of hot honey.
Season with salt and pepper.
